Our approach to design is simple; we critically explore and research each project, exposing the inherent characteristics of a site. Building upon extensive European and American project experience, we combine contemporary landscape theory with local knowledge and history, creating successful, contextually sensitive landscapes. Sustainability is at the core of estudioOCA's identity, we are knowledgeable on the most current applied technologies and practices related to landscape architecture and urban design. We integrate ecological, social, and contextual elements with professional enthusiasm and dedication to produce outstanding landscapes.
estudioOCA works from offices in San Francisco, Barcelona, and Bangkok, and is led by Ignacio Ortinez and Bryan Cantwell. Their work has received worldwide professional recognition with publication in international books and magazines.

Our strategic network of offices and collaborators allows us to serve our clients by remaining in close proximity to our projects. The studio remains intentionally small, allowing us to maintain our creativity and direct involvement in all phases of a project. The range, type, and scale of projects the studio works on varies greatly: from sophisticated resorts and estates to public landscapes and urban design.
